Gift of Life...

I  realise  I am a beauty junkie. Always on the lookout for the experience that brings tears of awe to your person. I guess it is all right because there is just one life to live and as would have it I would like to live it to the fullest.I  have travelled a bit and I have a whole bucket list unticked yet. Some things I call it my short life,I still cherish forever. I have had the experience to meet up and get close to exceptional people ,some of them extremely rare species who stick out from the crowd.

One such friend during my early years just looked across the bench to me and said something which has stuck with me forever. Having been to Auroville in Pondicherry, one suddenly exclaimed,' There is a glass crystal in Auroville, when the sunlight falls on it  it reflects the light beautifully and it is breathtaking to say the least. You should see it.The crystal reminded me of you.'I have not seen that crystal till date but I remember the eyes of the person when it was said ,it could not have been more beautiful than the crystal ball in Auroville. It is a treasure I keep buried deep in my heart which I keep going back to when I find life tough.

Another time the same friend called out my name and when I walked out to the corridor I saw around twenty newborn babies beautifully wrapped in pink and blue being brought in for vaccination to the clinic. It was a picture of hope and life and a gift which I have never erased from my mind.

Another time I was visiting the bath cathedral with my neice .Having entered the bath many times before I bought a ticket for my niece and decided to enjoy the bench, the sunshine, the colourful crowd, the stained glass window, the pigeons and the cathedral....it is already so beautiful and suddenly someone started busking Opera. For that moment in time I was transported away from that already beautiful place to another dimension and I felt my eyes moist even as I sat there transfixed.I walked up to the lady and I told her how beautiful it had been.It is a beauty I often go back to when I need some strenght .I bought a little momento then as a reminder of the beauty. I gave that momento to a friend recently.

Sitting by river Ness  as it comes and flows into Inverness, I just sat on the bank near a church with this crisp notebook  and a pen and the first thought that crossed my mind was ,It must be the most beautiful place on earth.

This gift of life is so real and has been my inheritance at those places where one would not expect it, My sincere prayer is I will not miss those rare God given gifts for man-made institutions and man made agendas that has made everything plastic.May the Lord give me the strength to squeeze beauty out of the short journey He has given me.

To the evolved souls the Lord has given me the privellage to meet-You stand out in ways the world may never see you/

Amen

A self retreat.

The last week of January I have started camping out in my construction site with a manuel which reads the King's James version of Holy bible.I thought I would take time to just quieten myself .I am getting a peek into the family who looks after my land. The construction is moving at rapid pace.I pray that it will beat the monsoons this year.If the Lord wills it I hope to do the first floor as well in this sitting. It requires a lot of prayer for the plan and the design and occupancy thereafter. As you can see there is a significant progress.I am here for till the month end.The first night my two little nephews and my cousin decided to rough it out with me.It was quite interesting having them around. The early morning view of the mountains are what I am hoping to catch. It can be breathtaking in December and we are still towards the end of winter so I should be able to enjoy it.The first night was a learning experience with princess and the pea experience.Second nigh onwards I have ha...

Image of Christ.

There is nothing more scarier than a heart that has hardened .I was talking to Mary the other day, infact weeping with her There is a deep restlessnessness inside.Thank God for it becuase it shows that I have not resigned myself to the way things are.I was telling her I miss the deep experience of seeing the image of Christ and the compassion of the Holy spirit which just used to overwhelm  my heart when I saw the image of Christ in people ,situation and the creation. What is the image of Christ? It is a body marred and maimed to bear the sin of the world.it is a voice that did not speak in protest against God the father, who actually planned it all before the creation of the world, not against the people who maimed Him ,flogged Him,drove the nails into His hands and feet to satisfy their sinful nature. The image of Christ is a body broken  to the utmost yet given to feed the very same people .It is a love that did not count the cost. I am a person who does not put too much v...
